Master Adilson
Adilson Alves da Silva is the source of wisdom and the main pillar of the Brasília Capoeira and Adilson Capoeira groups, having trained masters, teachers, and citizens throughout 60 years dedicated to the art and culture of Capoeira.
His journey is marked by discipline, the transmission of values, and a deep love for Afro-Brazilian culture.
Master Marquinhos
(In Memoriam)
Marcus Vinícius dos Santos Gomes started Capoeira in 1985. Trained and graduated by Mestre Adilson in 1998, he dedicated his career to the art and culture of Capoeira and the Grupo Brasília Capoeira for 21 years, until his passing in 2006.He was a fundamental piece in the continuity and expansion of Mestre Adilson's teachings, both in Brazil and abroad.
Master Galego
Rodrigo Ribeiro Miranda, trained by Masters Adilson and Marquinhos, was graduated as Master in 2020. For more than 34 years he has been dedicated to the art, culture, and teaching of Capoeira. He succeeded Master Marquinhos in continuing Master Adilson's legacy, becoming responsible for the Adilson Group in Brazil and abroad from 2022 onwards. He founded the organization Grupo Adilson Capoeira in 2025, assuming the position of President.

To develop Capoeira as an artistic-educational and cultural instrument, promoting social inclusion, recovering the Afro-Brazilian heritage, and forming citizens who are aware of their rights and duties.

Capoeira Cidadã
A socio-educational program for children and teenagers in social vulnerability. Regular Capoeira classes combined with education in values, citizenship, and Afro-Brazilian cultural recovery.
Cultural
Afro-Brazilian Roots
A cultural recovery and dissemination project with workshops, shows, seminars, and publications on the African heritage in Brazil. It includes research and documentation of Bahian folklore.
Training
Masters and Apprentices
A program to train young instructors for the multiplication of art-education through Capoeira, with technical and pedagogical qualification for young apprentices.
Inclusion
Inclusive Capoeira
A project to serve people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, adapting the practice of Capoeira to promote inclusion, motor, and social development.
